The Palma Book Fair 2026 (Fira del Llibre 2026) will once again turn the city centre into one of Mallorca’s major cultural meeting points. Organised by the Gremi de Llibreters de Mallorca with the support of Palma City Council and the Consell de Mallorca, the event will take place from 29 May to 7 June in Plaça Espanya and will bring together 16 bookshops, local authors and national guests in a programme featuring more than 40 activities for all audiences.

The official opening will take place on Friday 29 May at 6.30 pm, with the opening speech by Fades and a performance by Monkey Doo. That same day, Plaça Espanya will remain open until 10.00 pm for a new edition of Nit de Fira, an initiative successfully launched last year.

More than 40 activities at the Palma Book Fair 2026

The programme will include book presentations, author signings, workshops, storytelling sessions, musical performances and family activities. One of the highlights will be the participation of the historic children’s group Cucorba, which will perform just a few months before its final farewell from the stage after half a century of history. See the full programme in Plaça Espanya at this link.

One of the main new features of this edition is the return of the institutional stands of the Consell de Mallorca and Palma City Council. The municipal stand will offer readers a selection of publications from the City Council’s own collections, with works dedicated to music, history and Mallorca’s heritage.

The municipal library network will also take an active part in the fair, with parallel activities held in different neighbourhoods of Palma.

Local authors and leading names from the literary scene

The Palma Book Fair 2026 will also strengthen its commitment to new local authors, with the participation of writers such as Yunez Chaib, Olivia Lund and Marcos Augusto. The literary programme will be completed with new works by Àlex Fito, Cecilia Navarro and Pere Estelrich.

The line-up will also include authors and cultural figures with national and international profiles, such as Miguel Gane, Alina Not, Eudald Espluga and Luciana Peker. In addition, the fair will form part of the Any Blai Bonet programme with a recital organised by the Fundació Mallorca Literària.
