The Fira Dolça 2026 (Sweet Fair 2026) in Esporles celebrates its 20th edition from 2 to 4 October with a programme dedicated to gastronomy, Mallorcan pastries, art, music and popular culture. Sunday 4 October will be the main day of the fair, preceded by various activities on Friday and the III Dolça Nit de l’Art (3rd Sweet Art Night) on Saturday, while the XIX Territori Verdesca (19th Territori Verdesca) will offer its own programme throughout the weekend.

Ensaimadas, crespells, cocas, ice cream, chocolate and other sweet treats will once again take centre stage at one of Mallorca’s most traditional October fairs. The programme also includes gastronomic demonstrations, crafts, exhibitions, concerts, popular dancing and numerous activities for children in Mallorca, as well as events focusing on local produce.

The mayor of Esporles, Josep Ferrà, highlights the evolution of a fair that provides an opportunity to “talk about gastronomy, pastries, local produce, traditional recipes and new ideas”, a combination that, he says, has shaped its development since it was first held in 2005, with the only interruption coming during the pandemic.

Friday 2 October

  • 15:30. Simposio Assaborint Mallorca amb responsabilitat (Savouring Mallorca Responsibly Symposium), organised by SEAE and Conream la Serra, at Sa Fàbrica.
  • 18:00. Guided tour led by Tomàs Vibot: De la rota a la nau industrial: Esporles i esporlerins en el trànsit cap a la modernitat (From the Rota to the Industrial Building: Esporles and its People on the Path to Modernity), in Plaça de l’Ajuntament. Prior registration is required.

Saturday 3 October: III Dolça Nit de l’Art

  • 17:00. Opening of the exhibition of posters that have illustrated the 20 editions of the Fira Dolça, at Sa Fàbrica.
  • 18:00. Start of the III Dolça Nit de l’Art, at Passeig del Rei.
  • 19:00.
    • Group exhibition by Mercè Homar Mas, Joana Leal and Miquel Homar Juan, accompanied by a wine tasting and aperitif, at the AXA Esporles office.
    • Wine tasting and cakes made with local produce, featuring the wineries Rondalla, Ses Rotes, Es Verger d’Esporles and Son Vich de Superna, together with Aina Aulí by La Bulé Xef and sommelier Andreu Oliver Tril, at S’Hort des Marquès.
  • 20:00. Broadway bites, a journey through musical theatre songs featuring pieces from Cabaret, Chicago, La La Land and Cantant sota la pluja (Singin’ in the Rain), among others, in Plaça de l’Ajuntament.
  • 21:00. Concert by Miss Amnessia & Ramon Rosselló, at Passeig del Rei.

Sunday 4 October: XX Fira Dolça

  • 09:30.
    • Parade by the Gegantons (little giants), accompanied by the Xeremiers d’Esporles (Esporles Mallorcan bagpipers).
    • Showcase of Mallorcan pastries, including ensaimadas, crespells, cocas, ice cream, chocolate and other sweet treats, at Passeig del Rei.
  • 10:00.
    • Official opening of the XX Fira Dolça and opening speech by Xisca Nadal, creator of the poster for the 20th edition. The Gegantons, Xeremiers, Banda Lira Esporlerina, Rondalla Maristel·la and Batucada Batukadell will take part. The Fira Dolça 2026 distinction will also be presented to Miquel Busquets, master blacksmith, in Plaça de l’Ajuntament.
    • Mobile play centre with activities for children of different ages, in Carrer Ramon Llull.
    • Sustainable carousel made from recycled materials, in Placeta des Brollador.
  • 11:00. L’Art de Cuinar (The Art of Cooking) healthy cooking workshop for families, where participants will prepare a fruit skewer, in Carrer Ramon Llull. No prior registration is required.
  • 11:30. Showcooking by Miquel Serra, who will prepare sobrasada and carob cream pastries, with a tasting for the public, in Plaça de l’Ajuntament.
  • 16:30. Popular dancing with Revetla de Sant Antoni, Ramellets i Esclafits i Castanyetes. Courtyard of CEIP Gabriel Comas i Ribas.

Throughout the day, there will also be a gathering of embroiderers, lacemakers, florists and spinners in Carrer Joan Riutort, as well as fairground rides in the Ca l’Amet car park.

A free tourist train will also run from 09:00 to 18:00, travelling between the parking area, the end of the village and La Granja.

Programme for XIX Territori Verdesca

The XIX Territori Verdesca will take place on 3 and 4 October in the Canonge J. Garau car park, with family shows, music and the traditional woodcutting and chainsaw competitions.

Saturday 3 October

  • 17:00. Serra Mamerra, a live radio comedy about the Serra de Tramuntana, organised by Conream la Serra and Club de Comediants.
  • 18:30. Mestres Xef!! (Master Chefs!!), a family street show in which six chefs turn the kitchen into a circus of juggling, music and humour.
  • 20:00. Performance by MarcSilius DJ.
  • 22:00. Performance by Mike Vinilo.

Sunday 4 October

  • 10:00. Figurative log carving with Alberto Figurista Motoserra. This will be followed by the X Concurs de tall amb motoserra (10th Chainsaw Cutting Competition), the Concurs Da-li Picasso (Da-li Picasso Competition) and the Concurs de tall amb verduç (Verduç Cutting Competition).
  • 16:00. Performance by Dino d’Argenti.
  • 18:00. Performance by Marino e Marini.
  • 19:30. Performance by Marga & the Vicious.
  • 21:30. Performance by Panjha Indi.
