The Government Council has approved asking the Superior Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands for the approval to apply a new framework of temporary and exceptional measures in the field of activity of certain establishments, depending on the level of health alert of the island in that are filed for the containment of COVID-19.
Specifically, new measures are established to apply from levels 1, 2 and 3 of health alert, which go through requiring access with a COVID certificate in the areas that present the highest risk of contagion.
Therefore, four levels of alert are established in each of which the compulsory access with a COVID certificate is established (the documentary proof of being vaccinated or having suffered the disease within the previous six months or having submitted with negative result to a PDIA between the previous 48 and 72 hours).
Thus, therefore, level 0 would continue with the same measures approved up to now. There would be news for level 1, since, in addition to requiring the COVID certificate to access discos and nightclubs, as well as residences for the elderly, other areas are added, such as catering with interiors for more than 50 people or the rest of the nightlife.
The approved agreement also provides that, should the epidemiological situation go to level 2, it would include tourist accommodation where guests share a room (hostels, hostels, shelters, etc.). In addition, at level 3, it would also apply to cinemas, tent circuses, dance academies or gyms.
Right now, according to the last revision of levels on November 22, all the Balearic Islands are at level 1, but it must be noted that this will be revised on Friday, December 3 and that it may change depending on the criteria sanitary.
