The Government will reward carriers with 20 euro cents per liter of fuel, of which 15 cents will come from the public budget and 5 cents will be borne by oil product operators, and which will be applied to diesel, gasoline and gas.

This bonus will mean more than 600 million euros for the transport sector. This is one of the specific measures that have materialized, after the agreement reached with the representatives of the transport sector, for which a saving of about 700 euros per truck per month is estimated and will be valid from April 1 until June 30, extendable depending on the evolution of the markets.

This measure, together with direct aid to the sector of 450 million, will mean an injection of more than 1,000 million euros. This is one of the measures that the Government has presented to the road transport sector within the immediate aid plan to alleviate the consequences of the conflict in Ukraine. In addition, it has taken a series of social measures, for companies, in the areas of energy, transport and cybersecurity.

Social:

Prohibition of objective dismissal with compensation of 20 days per year worked and job maintenance mandate for companies that go to temporary employment regulation files (ERTE). 2% limit on rental reviews. The amount of the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) increases by 15%. The electricity social voucher is extended to 600,000 families, reaching 1.9 million households.

Companies:

New line of ICO credit guarantees for 10,000 million for liquidity needs due to rising energy prices. The maturity period of the loans guaranteed by the ICO and the grace period for the most affected sectors are extended. Aid of 362 million for the agriculture and livestock sector, and 68 million for fishing.

Energy:

Update of the specific remuneration regime for the production of electricity from renewable energy sources, cogeneration and waste, with a reduction in 2022 of electricity system charges up to 55%, for 1,800 million. The mechanism to reduce excess profits in the electricity market caused by the high price of natural gas in international markets is extended until June 30.

Transport:

Injection of more than 1,000 million. New fund of 450 million euros for direct aid to freight and passenger transport companies, depending on the type of vehicle (1,250 euros per truck, 900 euros per bus, 500 euros per van and 300 euros per taxi, VTC or ambulance).

Cybersecurity:

New National Cybersecurity Plan endowed with more than 1,000 million euros. A cybersecurity operations center will be set up for the General State Administration and its public bodies and the strengthening of the security of the new 5G electronic communications networks.
