78% of Mallorca’s hotels will be open next week for Easter with an expected occupancy rate of 70%

The Hotel Federation of Mallorca (FEHM) has confirmed these figures as well as a longer season and an increase in bookings. A tourist season that is marked by the sector’s concern about the effects of the airline strikes and, especially, by the difficulties in finding staff.

Four out of five hotels will be open at Easter in Mallorca and business owners are preparing for better occupancy figures than last year’s Easter. The Hotel Federation of Mallorca (FEHM) confirms the strength of the main outbound markets, German and British, and a clear improvement in Spanish tourism, with a tendency to travel more and more out of high season. The French and Swiss markets are also growing.

One of the best occupancy figures can be found in the north of the island. Likewise, Alcúdia, Capdepera, Cala Millor, Cala d’Or, Platja de Palma and Pollença are also expecting above-average occupancy during the Easter holidays, according to FEHM data.
