The 9th edition of the Evolution Mallorca Film Festival begins on Friday the 23rd of October and runs from Friday the 23rd of October to Thursday the 29th of October. This year the programme includes feature films, documentaries, international shorts, documentary shorts, experimental films, music videos and films for children. Choose your film from the programme!
The programme includes a section ‘Made in the Balearic Islands’, which includes 25 films produced and directed by the island’s filmmakers. This year the actress Ángela Molina will receive the “Evolution Honorary Award 2020”. The event will take place on Saturday 24 October at 21.00 in Cineciutat.
The shows will be held at Palma’s Teatre Principal, Cineciutat, La Misericordia Cultural Centre, Rialto Living, Es Baluard, Port Adriano and the Palau de Congresos. Due to the health crisis, a strict card limit has been set in this edition to respect all security measures.
Another outstanding proposal in this edition is the drive-in cinema. Port Adriano collaborates with the Festival by offering its large main square to enjoy a different way of going to the cinema: from the car. The films shown are old blockbusters: Jurassic Park, Trolls, Notting Hill and Persepolis.
