The Mallorcan company Talat will receive the award for the most innovative engineering company in Spain at the gala for the VIII National Industrial Engineering Awards to be held on November 25 at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid.

The awards recognize the work done by different professionals, companies, social agents and the media in favor of improving the quality of life of citizens.

“Their‘ ingenuity ’is what best defines them: applying the philosophy of engineering to all fields of business and life,” considered the jury on the Mallorcan company, which has offices in Palma, Manacor and Madrid.

Founded in 2008 and currently managed by Magdalena Payeras and Guillermo Bauzá, it has more than 100 employees. The Rafa Nadal Sports Academy, the Hipotels Playa de Palma hotel and the Protur Naisa Palma Hotel, among others, are some of the buildings that bear the Talat seal.

‘Ingeniousness’ is a term that the company has coined. “It is born from the fruit of the analysis and study of our work. It arises from applying the philosophy of engineering to all aspects and sections of our company in order to obtain differential, relevant and measurable advantages ”, points out Bauzá.

The president of the General Council of Official Associations of Industrial Engineers, Miguel Iriberri, highlighted that the awards “are the best recognition for future industrial engineers in one of the hardest years for society and in which the importance of engineering as an engine at the service of society in the pandemic ”.

For his part, César Franco, dean of the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Madrid, acknowledges that “the work of industrial engineers is being essential for the proper functioning of key sectors that will allow economic recovery after the impact of the pandemic.”

The jury was made up of Blanca Losada, president of Fortia; Félix Masjuan, president of Caja de Ingenieros; Miguel lriberri, president of the General Council; Sergio Domínguez, deputy director of the ETSII of the UPM; Socorro García Cascales, president of AEIPRO and Vicente González, vice president of ASIINDUS.
