Dijous Gros 2025 in Inca will be celebrated this year with a varied programme that will begin on Tuesday, May 6 and run until Sunday, May 18. This traditional festival, which honours the city’s commercial and cultural heritage, will include a wide range of activities for all audiences. The mercat de Dijous Gros, the main event of the festivities, is one of the most important markets in Mallorca and will be the main attraction, accompanied by music, performances, gastronomy, and numerous proposals that will fill the public spaces of Inca with life and colour.

This event, which stands out for its involvement and participation from merchants, artisans, associations, and other local entities, continues to be a fundamental pillar in the city’s life, reaffirming its role as a cultural and dynamic reference in the Part Forana. Documented since the early 19th century, it was once as important as the Dijous Bo de novembre. In fact, it is also known as Dijous Bo de maig. Its origin is linked to Inca’s historical commercial vocation, with the weekly market having roots in the Islamic era and being key to the city’s urban and economic development. Today, Dijous Gros 2025 remains a reflection of the local identity and the central role of Inca in the Part Forana of Mallorca.
