The Craft Market in Palma’s s’Hort del Rei begins this Saturday the 23rd and will last until the 7th of April. Thus, the Gremi d’Artesans de Pimem kicks off this traditional craft market. The aim is to encourage both residents and visitors with their unique, traditional products. This professional group, recognised by the Consell de Mallorca, will take its usual place thanks to the support of the town council, which values the importance of local and artisan products as a contribution to the quality of the commercial offer in the city.

The craft market will be open from Monday to Sunday until 7 April. After that date, it will be open on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. For Maite Ramiro, president of the Gremi, “the steps that have been taken, both privately and publicly, are the right ones. We artisans have responded with our accredited offer, and the town hall supports us in the management and identification of the space, which helps visitors to discover the diversity and to buy with the certainty that they are acquiring a handmade Mallorcan product. I think it’s a win-win situation for everyone.

The Gremi de Pimem assures that last season was very successful for this Craft Market at s’Hort del Rei in Palma. Especially in the first few months, and this year is expected to be the same or even better. “The conditions are in place to continue offering quality products. We have always maintained that our proposal in s’Hort del Rei contributes to the good image of Palma as a tourist destination. And at the same time it strengthens the micro-entrepreneurs who make up the guild. They are local people who develop their creativity and ingenuity, making it possible for tourists to acquire differential and authentic products”, adds Ramiro.

Until 7 April, you can enjoy the vibrant and historic atmosphere of s’Hort del Rei, where each object tells a story and each artisan shares his or her passion. From unique jewellery to handmade decorative objects, this artisan market is the place to be for lovers of craftsmanship. A chance to explore this hidden treasure in the heart of Palma.
