The Consell de Mallorca has presented today its plan of 13 aids against inflation, which will have a budget of 22 million euros. This was announced by the president, Catalina Cladera, during the Debate on General Island Policy 2022. The aim, she said, is to “protect those who need it most, the middle and working classes of this land”. The Consell is thus following in the footsteps of the anti-crisis measures presented weeks ago by the Govern.
The 13 anti-crisis measures of the Consell de Mallorca
- One of the most important measures is the 200 euro voucher for families, which can be applied for from Friday 21 October. For more information, click here.
- 2.5 million to offer 200 euros in aid to families with federated children so that they can practice sport.
- 1 million to support youth emancipation.
- Half a million euros to promote the training of monitors and improvements to youth facilities.
- At the same time, one million euros will be earmarked to help nursery schools for 0-3 year olds.
- The Consell will also make a complementary contribution to that of the Govern to promote free education for the 2-3 year-olds.
- Elimination of co-payment in day centres for the elderly for 6 months, with a budget of 100,000 euros.
- Launch of a new edition of the Gaudeix L’illa Sènior programme, with a budget of 450,000 euros.
- A voucher to help SMEs and the self-employed with their energy bills, with a budget of 4 million euros.
- 430,000 for the Acelera Pime Office, to promote the modernisation of small and medium-sized businesses located in 46 municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants in Mallorca.
- 1 million euros to reactivate small businesses and promote the consumption of local products.
- 600,000 euros to promote culture through associations, companies and the self-employed in the sector.
- The last of the 13 grants of the Consell de Mallorca to alleviate the effects of inflation is to allocate 100,000 euros to help free textbooks for students of the UNED.
