CòmicNostrum 2026, Mallorca’s International Comic Festival, takes place from 14 to 18 October in Palma and Inca, with exhibitions, meetings with authors, children’s workshops, signing sessions, film screenings and a cosplay competition. One of the main highlights is the exhibition Vinyeta és una paraula femenina (Panel Is a Feminine Word), which opens on 15 October at Casal Solleric in Palma and explores seven decades of comics created by women in Spain.
For the second consecutive year, Palma and Inca town councils are collaborating with the Clúster de Còmic i Nous Media (Comic and New Media Cluster) to organise the festival. The programme includes exhibitions in both municipalities, while Fàbrica Ramis in Inca becomes the main meeting point over the weekend, hosting the Pop Up Còmic Market, presentations and signing sessions with authors including Craig Thompson, Ana Miralles, Anne Simon, Candela Sierra and Marika Vila.
In addition, plaça de la Llibertat in Inca hosts El laberinto del cuco (The Cuckoo’s Labyrinth), an interactive installation by Max and Itinerània that allows visitors to explore a large-scale comic. This is one of several activities open to the public, alongside a screening of Persepolis, children’s workshops and the cosplay competition on Sunday 18 October.
