Cinema Lliure a la Platja 2024 returns once again to Mallorca. In this edition, taking place in Palma and Pollença from July 1st to July 5th, four author’s feature films will be screened, which have been showcased at renowned film festivals: Robot Dreams, La innocència, Los reyes del mundo, and Quest. As usual, the movies will be shown when the sun sets, ensuring it’s dark enough to guarantee a clear visibility of the screen, typically between 9:30 pm and 10 pm, as stated by the organizers.
Cinema Lliure a la Platja values particularly those feature films made by women and strives to ensure that the programming is inclusive and for everyone. Additionally, it includes a family session so that children can also enjoy cinema at the beach.

In the case of Palma, where this event is part of the Cinema a la Fresca 2024 program, the makeshift cinemas will be set up on the beaches of Ses Fontanelles, Can Pastilla, and Can Pere Antoni. Meanwhile, the beach of Tamarells will be the chosen venue in Pollença. The entry is free and no reservation is required.
Before the feature films of Cinema Lliure a la Platja 2024, there will be a music session by iCat, and short films from the Nou Talent Call will be screened, featuring young filmmakers who are still in training or recent graduates, as well as from Talent+, showcasing the best short films from the last two years by established filmmakers.
