Delicious gastronomy

The products of the land and the sea are very present in the local gastronomy. The tumbet, frit de matances, fish rice or the greixonera de Pasqua are some of the dishes that are frequently served in the wide variety of restaurants that the municipality treasures. It is also possible to taste typical Mallorcan products in the weekly market on Wednesdays, which has been held since the mid 19th century and has different stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, sausages, handicrafts, flowers, clothing, etc.

La Trapa and Sa Dragonera

The Trapa Nature Reserve is a must-see attraction. This farm, whose name reflects the presence of Trappist monks in the valley in 1810, has beautiful elements of traditional architecture and a spectacular viewpoint overlooking Sa Dragonera, the largest islet on the island. With a length of 4.2 km, the Sa Dragonera Natural Park is home to an important colony of sea hawks and was a refuge for corsairs and smugglers in the past, which has given rise to countless legends.
