Alcúdia beach: commitment to accessibility and quality

With over 3 km of white sand and calm, shallow waters, Alcúdia Beach is an ideal destination for both families and those seeking nature, safety, and high-quality services. Once again in 2025, it has been awarded the Blue Flag and has also earned the ECOPLAYAS Flag for its exemplary management in terms of environmental, tourism, and sustainability aspects. This distinction highlights efforts to reduce environmental impact, preserve natural resources, and promote good practices. The beach is divided into two main sections. Sector 1, the urban area, is closer to the port and promenade, concentrating most of the services, activities, and facilities. Sector 2, the natural area, offers a more peaceful experience integrated with the surroundings.

A Beach for Everyone

One of the aspects that makes Alcúdia Beach unique is its commitment to inclusion through its universal accessibility point on Saturn Street (international certifications UNE 170001:1 and 170001:2). Operational from April to October, it allows people with reduced mobility to access and enjoy the sea with safety and dignity.

Renovated Beach Facilities

This year, the City Council has carried out a complete renovation of five municipal beach facilities, funded by the European Next Generation funds. The new facilities offer public restrooms; a functional, efficient design that integrates with the environment; and modern, sustainable infrastructure designed to simplify maintenance and cleaning. A clear example of the municipal commitment to modernizing infrastructure and providing services adapted to the needs of both residents and visitors.

A Safe and Lively Beach

In addition to its privileged setting, Alcúdia Beach stands out for its careful management of services, with 3,500 sun loungers with umbrellas; watchtowers and rescue stations in daily operation; two rescue boats; a permanent cleaning and maintenance service; and leisure activities such as pedal boats, banana boat rides, parasailing, and other regulated water sports.
