The President of the Government, Marga Prohens, has announced a total of ten ministries, including a new Ministry of the Sea and the Water Cycle. The new structure, which also cuts back on senior officials, represents a saving of one million euros a year, 12% compared to the outgoing Government

The President of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens, today announced the names of the ministers who will form part of the new Government. In her first appearance at the Consolat de Mar, Prohens stressed that the new Executive combines “experience in the Administration and in the private sector” and that she has done so “with the best men and women in mind, without quotas of any kind”.

The new Government will save one million euros a year

In this way, according to the President, the new autonomous government will have a total of ten ministries, which will be one less than those of the outgoing Government. As a novelty, among the ten areas, the Government will for the first time have a Department of the Sea and the Water Cycle, which will take on the new responsibilities for the coast, as well as the management of ports and water resources.
