TaPalma 2026 brings together 42 restaurants for a new edition of Palma’s popular tapas trail, taking place from 4 to 8 November. The gastronomic event has attracted a record number of participants, with eight more establishments than last year, and offers five routes through different parts of the city to showcase the diversity of its restaurant scene.

The programme also includes the tapas competition, scheduled for 2 November at the Palau de Congressos de Palma, two days before the tapas trail begins. This year marks the 21st edition of TaPalma’s gastronomic trail and the ninth edition of its culinary competition, both firmly established in Mallorca’s calendar of food events.

Five routes to enjoy tapas in Palma

The TaPalma tapas trail offers an opportunity to visit different establishments across the Mallorcan capital and discover their chefs’ creations. With 42 restaurants taking part, compared with 34 in 2025, this year’s edition has attracted the highest number of participants in its history.

For those looking for places to eat tapas in Palma or discover new restaurants, TaPalma provides an opportunity to explore local cuisine through five distinct routes. The tapas created by participating establishments are the main attraction of the event, which also helps boost the city’s hospitality sector.

The organisers have not yet announced the list of restaurants taking part in TaPalma 2026, their locations along the routes, the tapas they will offer or their prices. Further information and event updates are available on the official TaPalma website.

The culinary competition takes place before the tapas trail

The TaPalma Mallorca 2026 competition will be held at the Palau de Congressos, where chefs from across the island will compete in the ninth edition of the event. The competition includes a themed tapas category linked to IGP Sobrassada de Mallorca, which sponsors this category.

The event was presented at the Ajuntament de Palma (Palma City Council), attended by institutional representatives, organisers and partners. During the presentation, the mayor, Jaime Martínez Llabrés, highlighted the increase in participating establishments as “a figure that demonstrates the interest this initiative generates and the vitality of our restaurant sector”.

TaPalma is organised by AgenciaCom and Restauración Mallorca CAEB, with sponsorship from Ajuntament de Palma-PalmaActiva. The initiative combines the promotion of Mallorcan cuisine with support for the restaurant sector and Palma’s appeal as a gastronomic destination.
