Palma will launch Cuines del Món 2026 (Cuisines of the World 2026) from 1 to 15 October, a new food trail offering the chance to try dishes from different countries at 45 restaurants, all with a special menu at a fixed price of €25 per person.

The first edition will cover 23 neighbourhoods in Palma and bring together 26 different culinary traditions, ranging from Mexican, Peruvian and Colombian to Japanese, Vietnamese, Indian, Italian, Turkish and Moroccan cuisine. The initiative is organised by the Federació Empresarial de Restauració de les Illes Balears (FERIB, Balearic Islands Restaurant Business Federation), with the support of Palma City Council and PalmaActiva and the collaboration of various organisations from the sector.

How Cuines del Món 2026 in Palma works

Taking part in the trail does not require registration or the purchase of tickets. Visitors can plan their own route between the participating establishments:

  1. Browse the restaurants. The Cuines del Món website lists all the participating establishments, with information on the type of cuisine, the menu they offer and their location.
  2. Choose your destination. The trail is designed so that visitors can go to one or several restaurants and try different cuisines over the 15 days.
  3. Book a table. Booking is not essential at every establishment, but advance reservations are recommended, especially at weekends. Each listing includes a contact telephone number.
  4. Order the Cuines del Món menu. On arrival at the restaurant, diners should ask for the special menu offered as part of the trail. The price is €25 per person, including VAT, and drinks are not included. Menus will be available for lunch, dinner or both, depending on the establishment.
  5. Share the experience. The organisers encourage participants to post photos from the trail on social media and tag Cuines del Món.

Cuines del Món 2026 in Palma also makes its debut during the year in which the city holds the title of 2026 Gastronomic Capital of the Mediterranean Islands, an accolade that provides an opportunity to “highlight gastronomy as an essential part of the city’s identity and culture and promote its culinary offering beyond our borders”, said the mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez Llabrés.

For Palma’s mayor, the initiative “is an example of Palma’s gastronomic and cultural richness”, and he stressed that it helps “showcase the city’s diversity through its recipes, flavours and traditions”.
