The Festes de La Beata 2026 de Valldemossa will be held from 17 to 28 July with a programme that combines tradition, music, culture, sport and activities for all ages. For almost two weeks, the municipality will pay tribute to Santa Catalina Tomàs, the only saint born in Mallorca, with some of the most representative events in the island’s festive calendar.

The programme will begin on 17 July with a theatre performance. It will continue with eagerly awaited events such as the proclamation of the Hereva (Festival Queen) and the Damas d’Honor (Maids of Honour), the Pregó (opening proclamation) of the festivities and a major Revetlla (open-air evening celebration) in the Plaça de Cartoixa. There will also be traditional Cercaviles (street parades), the paella competition, the Sopar de carrers a la fresca (open-air street dinner), children’s activities, sports competitions, open-air cinema and concerts for all audiences.

One of the highlights will take place on 27 July, with the mass and the Processó solemne (solemn procession) in honour of Santa Catalina Tomàs, followed by Tomeu Penya’s concert. However, the main day will be 28 July. The day will begin with the traditional Cercavila, continue with the solemn mass and end at night with the departure of the emblematic Carro Triomfal (Triumphal Float), accompanied by the Beateta (young girl portraying La Beata, the popular name of Saint Catalina Tomàs), the Cort d’Angelets (Court of Little Angels), music bands and the Xeremiers de Sa Garriga. This parade, declared an Asset of Intangible Cultural Interest, is the most representative event of the festivities and one of the symbols of Valldemossa.
