Palma once again stands out, for yet another year, as the Balearic municipality with the highest number of the 100 companies with the highest turnover on the islands, with a total of 74. It is followed by Eivissa, with 6, and Llucmajor and Manacor, with 3 each. Menorca, for its part, is absent from the list. The top company in the archipelago is once again Air Europa, based in Llucmajor, whose sales in 2023 amounted to 2,770,200,000 euros, an increase of 427,929,000 euros over the previous year. Completing the top 5 are Gas y Electricidad Generación SA, Criteria Caixa SAU, World 2 Meet SLU, and Axa Mediterranean Holding, all located in Palma. The company with the most employees in 2023 was Meliá Hotels International, sixth in turnover, with 5,111 workers on the islands.

In this ranking based on INFORMA D&B data the net turnover of the individual accounts for the financial year 2022 or 2023 has been used, according to the official accounts deposited by the companies in the Mercantile Registries and contained in the Informa database. This is the latest public data, obtained in December 2024.
