Dance, music, physical theater, circus and all the performing arts of the Balearic Islands can be enjoyed at the sixth edition of Fira B! to be held in Palma from November 11 to 14 with 34 concerts and 18 performances.
In the program, the works Nua, P-Acto Idiota, Aquella calle and the performances of Janksy, the OSIB, Albert Pinya and Joan Miquel Oliver, among other local references, stand out. Also noteworthy are the performances of “Bravura”, beneficiary of the 2020 creation call, or of “Fils de Vida”, by the Iguana Teatre company, which this year turns 35.
Regarding the musical proposal, Fira B! differentiates 5 scenarios according to the different styles: pop / rock / indie, jazz, electronic, classical, world music and contemporary.
On November 11, music concentrates a good part of the programming with contents of folk and traditional music at the Xesc Forteza Theater and two stages at the Es Baluard contemporary art museum, in which there will be proposals for pop rock, electronic music and other performances intimate. On the 12th, jazz groups will be presented and on the 13th it will be dedicated to classical and contemporary music.
The director of the Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics, Mateu Malondra, has pointed out the importance of being able to “continue to give visibility to authors within the territory and build brand loyalty”.
For his part, the minister of Fons Europeus, Universitat i Cultura, Miquel Company, highlighted that in the Fira B! there is representation of all the Islands. “The fair unites, apart from the cultural and professional sector, also the territorial one,” he said.
All the activities will take place in emblematic spaces and stages of the city such as the Xesc Forteza Theater, the Catalina Valls Theater, the Mar i Terra Theater, the Principal Theater, Es Baluard and the Plaza Mayor.
