viatges dels balearicsThe collective exhibition Els viatges dels baleàrics (The Travels of the Balearics) arrives at the Arxiu del Regne de Mallorca (C/ de Ramon Llull, 3), where it can be visited until 15 June 2025. The opening will take place on 13 May at 7:00 p.m. Visiting hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m..

Promoted by the Conselleria de Turisme, Cultura i Esports through the Directorate General of Culture, the exhibition is being shown in Mallorca for the second time and brings together works by sixteen artists from various parts of the Mediterranean reflecting on the concept of travel.

The exhibition, organised in collaboration with the Fundació Baleària and the Arxiu del Regne de Mallorca itself, invites reflection on travel as movement, discovery and cultural exchange, through a wide range of techniques and visual languages.

Itinerant exhibition

Els viatges dels baleàrics is a travelling exhibition that began its tour in May 2024 in Ciutadella de Menorca, at the former church of Sant Josep. Since then, it has been shown in Es Pedreguer and Porreres, and will conclude its journey at the Museo Revellín in Ceuta in June 2025, thanks to collaboration with the Autonomous City of Ceuta.

The participating artists are:

  • From Mallorca: Josep M. Alaminos, Jorge Azri, Cris Pink, María Puerto Fullana, Mateu Bauzà and Toni Salom.

  • From Menorca: Lluís Febrer Martí and Marga Pons.

  • From Ibiza: Aphon Hengcharoen and Patricia Boned.

  • From the Valencian Community: Carmen Ruano, Esperanza Asensi, Nina Llorens i Tardor.

  • From Ceuta: Sandra Ávila.

  • From Melilla: María León Buendía.

The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore Mediterranean cultural diversity through a contemporary artistic lens.
