The most in housing: smart pool, cinema and miniature golf

In search of leisure, good weather and tranquility, more and more wealthy foreigners choose Mallorca as their first residence and to telecommute

On the terrace of your house facing the sea, a film by your favorite director?

In Mallorca it is common to experience these sensations in the wealthy sector of the real estate market, which builds houses with values ranging between 4 and 10 million euros in Bendinat, Port d’Andratx and Santa Ponça, among other destinations. Around 350 m2 and 1000 m2 measure these homes, which are generally acquired by Swedes, Germans and English.

“Clients know that with the pandemic they can work outside their countries. What used to be the second residence became the first with a strong investment in leisure ”, says Alberto Torrens, director of Espacio Scena, a home automation and technological interior design company that installs movie theaters in large homes”.

“Buying a house, demolishing it and making a new one is normal. The customer is in the details. With 70,000 euros you can demolish a house ”, adds Jaime Salvá, director of the Jaime Salvá Arquitectura & Interiorismo office.

Valorized spaces and new ‘whims’

In the new homes, the kitchen takes center stage. It is a space that was integrated into the living room. The taste for gyms still exists. Also for smart pools, which regulate the water temperature and lighting. The newest orders range from miniature golf on private terraces to basketball courts.

“Once a customer wanted to wake up every morning and have his coffee ready. The technology required a special coffee maker. It was difficult to get it ”, recalls Torrens.
