This summer, the restriction on accessing Formentor by private vehicle, between 10 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., will begin on June 1st and end on September 30th. In this way, access restrictions to Formentor are extended a total of 37 days. This is in response to the request of the Pollença City Council, after noting the high influx of visitors during this period that was not covered last year.

Thus, Pollença continues to request the installation of a barrier on the road and the improvement of information for drivers so that they do not circulate without permission. From the municipality council, they assure that more than 50 thousand files were opened to drivers who drove up to the lighthouse during restricted hours last year.

They also consider it necessary to synchronize schedules so that Pollença residents can easily link the bus trip to the Moll with the line that arrives from Alcudia and ends at the cape.
