The Cathedral of Mallorca has opened registration for children between the ages of 7 and 14 who wish to take part in the auditions that will be held next October in order to opt to join the Escolania dels Vermells, which currently has more than 50 children.
The tests will consist of a vocal and audition and will be conducted under the supervision of the director, Gloria Berón. To register, please send an email to escolania@catedraldemallorca.org or call 971713133. The training and musical studies offered by the Cathedral are completely free of charge. “Far from being just a singing school, the Escolania dels Vermells represents an education in values, dedication, tradition and cohesion”, said the religious institution in a statement.
Berón will conduct again this year. Each month, the Escolania dels Vermells will take part in the Sunday Eucharist – the second Sunday at 10:30 am and the fourth at 12 noon. They will also be present at the great solemnities of the Cathedral.
