The 2021-2022 opera season in Mallorca will take place from October 20 to June 12 at the Teatre Principal. This 36th Opera Season will open with “El elisir d’amore”, by Gaetano Donizetti. A montage signed by José Martret and with Diego Martín-Etxeberria as musical director and Lorenzo Caprile in charge of the costumes. It will take place in the Sala Grande on October 20, 22 and 24, 2021. The play is a production of the Teatre Principal de Palma that premiered in 2019 to great critical and public success. This has motivated it to be rescheduled again in this 36th Opera Season.

The play will arrive at the Teatre Principal in a co-production by the Auditorio de Tenerife and the Teatro Regio di Parma. In May, the opera season in Mallorca will continue with a new operatic product. “Les voix”, a new contemporary operational product, comes from the hand of Pablo López and Maia Planas. They are “La voix humaine”, by Francis Poulenc, and “La voz sauria”, by Mariona Vila. The performances will be on May 6 and 8.
The 36th Opera Season in Mallorca will lower the curtain on June 8, 10 and 12 with “Tales of Hoffmann”, by Jacques Offenbach.
