Apple has just regained the top spot of the most valuable brands of 2021, again leading the ranking after five years. The data comes from the Brand Finance Global 500 2021 report, which launched in January the ranking of the 500 most valuable brands in the world.
The report highlights several changes in the ranking 2021. This is the case of Tesla, which leaves traditional car companies behind and obtains the fastest growing brand value, 158% more. E-commerce was another of the sectors in which the value of many brands rose places, such as Alibaba. On the other hand, traditional media such as the American CBS fell.
The ‘hospitality’ sector was one of the most affected by the restrictions imposed worldwide. Companies like Marriott, Airbnb, Starbucks, McDonald’s and KFC fall back in the 2021 Most Valuable Brands report.
