Mallorca’s agenda at Fitur will begin on 23 January with the participation of Galmés, Rodríguez and Sciacovelli in the Exceltur Forum. Subsequently, on 24 January, during the first day of the fair, a promotional event entitled “Mallorca in essence” will be held. This event will consist of a networking space around a dinner that will bring together prominent representatives of the tourism and business sector. The main objective will be to promote an image of Mallorca that respects its environment and to highlight its excellence in quality.

The dinner will feature the participation of renowned Mallorcan chefs, Maca de Castro and Andreu Genestra, both with Green Michelin stars. The menu will be characterised by the use of local and proximity products (Km 0), including ingredients from the Mallorcan garden, land and sea, as well as wines produced on the island.

On 25th January, progress on the “Commitment to Responsible Tourism” will be presented at 11:00, in the context of the panel of island councils at the Illes Balears stand. The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, will be in charge of announcing the new developments in this commitment, which seeks to promote sustainable tourism that respects the environment.

On the same day, Mallorca will unveil the premiere of the film “Faro”, filmed largely on the island and starring the renowned actor Hugo Silva. The presentation will take place at 20:00 at the Palacio de la Prensa cinemas. Beforehand, at 15:00 at the Balearic Islands stand at Fitur, the cast of actors and the film’s director, Ángeles Hernández, will present the film’s trailer.

In addition to these important events, the Mallorcan delegation will be holding a series of meetings and gatherings with representatives of the international trade, taking advantage of the presence of the global tourism community in Madrid during these days. Mallorca seeks to reaffirm itself as a responsible and attractive tourist destination, highlighting its natural, cultural and gastronomic values. Fitur 2024 is presented as an ideal platform to project the unique essence of Mallorca on the international tourism scene.
