The use of the mask indoors will no longer be mandatory in Spain from April 19. This has been reported by the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias to the councilors gathered in an Interterritorial Council of the National Health System.

The entry into force of the decree will be effective on April 20, but the use of the mask for the moment will continue to be mandatory in adult residences, public transport and health centers.

More than a month ago, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, suggested removing the use of the mask, but the decision has been delayed because the incidence of the virus had not decreased. At that time there were also doubts among the technicians and the autonomous communities, which have now recommended “responsible use” when there are crowds of people and vulnerable people.
