The Fira d’Andratx 2022 returns with a menu of unmissable proposals in its XXXVIII edition that will be held on April 2 and 3. The programming focuses on gastronomy, around already consolidated axes such as the “Tapa Tour” and the “Gastronomic Day”, but with show cooking as a new addition, by Margalida Alemany, Joan Porcel and Danny Hernández , all of them local restaurateurs, of great prestige.

The products of the land and the sea are very present in Andritxola gastronomy. The tumbet, frit de matances, fish rice or the Easter greixonera are some of the dishes that are frequently served in the wide variety of restaurants that the municipality treasures. It is also possible to taste typical Mallorcan products at the weekly market on Wednesdays, which has been held since the mid-19th century and has different stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, sausages, crafts, flowers, clothing, etc.

La fira d’Andratx 2022: activities and competitions

The activities of the Fira d’Andratx 2022 will be located on Saturday 2 in the Plaza de España, where the Tapa Tour will take place with musical performances. On Sunday 3, the programming moves to the Town Hall and the surrounding streets.

There will be craft and commercial stalls, the traditional “Children’s Corner” with workshops and storytelling, and the livestock contest with a display of animals and sheep from local farmers. In the Son Lluís street, the Carriage Hitching Contest will be held by the “Associació de Carreters i Cavallistes d’Andratx” and the Chainsaw Contest, and the Gastronomic Day will focus on the Son Mas promenade.

Another objective of the fair’s programming is to give a boost to local commerce. For this reason, a professional space has been incorporated for the businesses of the municipality with an exhibition of old cars and vehicles from the Classics Riders d’Andratx, also on the Son Mas promenade.

The Fira d’Andratx 2022 is held on April 2 and 3.
