Forty singers from the Escolania de Lluc will give a historic concert during the General Audience with Pope Francisco in Rome

It will be tomorrow Wednesday at 9 am on the occasion of the General Audience with Pope Francisco. According to the Bisbat de Mallorca, this is “a historic event and a unique opportunity to showcase the musical skills of the school and the students on an international level”.

The Wednesday audience takes place in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican. It is an occasion for the Pope to reflect on a specific theme or read a speech, as well as an opportunity for the faithful in attendance to receive his blessing.

The Escolania de Lluc has been present in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana since the 15th century. It is a prestigious integrated music school (primary and secondary) with a long tradition of training talented young singers.
