Gran Premi Nacional de Trot 2023The Gran Premi Nacional de Trot 2023, which reaches its 90th edition, will be held on Sunday 21 May at the Hippodrome de Son Pardo, where 16 horses and the best yokeis will meet, as reported by the Consell de Mallorca in a statement in which it has expressed that “the trotting competition with more history, which in turn lives its most vital and energetic moment”, places Mallorca “at the epicentre of European trotting”.

The Gran Premi Nacional de Trot 2023 is expected to be a very evenly matched event, with exciting races and unpredictable results. This renowned event, with international repercussions, “is the great celebration for the equestrian sector and for the family that is part of it. To be able to once again enjoy such a high level event is great news for all the fans, who are the real protagonists”, emphasised the island’s Councillor for Transition, Tourism and Sport, Andreu Serra.

In addition to the Grand Prix, 16 other races will be held between Saturday and Sunday, including the Gran Premi Nacional de Minitrot, reserved for children, which will take place on Saturday. Throughout the weekend there will be an exhibition on the 90-year history of the great trotting event in Mallorca.

The winner of the Gran Premi Nacional de Trot 2023, which will distribute 100,000 euros among the winners of the main event, will receive a work of art by the sculptor Miguel Sarasate, inspired by a horse and created especially for the event.

The organisers have set up three parking areas for participants: the Son Pardo racecourse, the Son Hugo municipal swimming pools (from 3 to 9 p.m.) and Son Rossinyol (the Feria de Abril site).
