The Fires i Festes de Primavera 2024 in Manacor will begin on May 24 and extend until June 6. Once again, these festivities will fill the streets of the Llevant Mallorcan municipality with colorful and varied activities thanks to a program catering to all audiences.

This year’s edition will kick off on Friday, May 24, with the traditional dance of the Cossiers, at 5:00 PM, followed by the opening speech at the Claustre de San Vicente Ferrer at 8:30 PM, delivered by Isabel M. Riera Oliver.

Among the most traditional events are the DO Pla i Llevant wine tasting on Saturday, May 25 at 6:00 PM in the Parc Municipal; the Fira de Primavera on Sunday, May 26; the Trobada de Gent Gran on Wednesday, May 29 at 8:00 PM in the Parc Municipal; the Picat de glosat on Friday, May 31 in the Claustre de San Vicente Ferrer; the Trobada Gegantera on Saturday, June 1 starting at 6:00 PM, featuring a parade through the Plaça del Convent, Carrer Major, Plaça de sa Bassa, Joan Lliteres, and Plaça de Sant Jaume; the concert of Renou Col·lectiu on Saturday, June 1 from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM in the Plaça Ramon Llull; and the parade of floats and troupes on Sunday, June 2 at 6:30 PM.

New Events in the Fires i Festes de Primavera 2024 in Manacor

This year will also feature new events such as the concert of Xanguito, Jantià, Dj Ilana, and DJ Alba Serrano on May 25 at 8:00 PM in the Plaça de Ramón Llull; the Revetlla Blanca on May 31 in the same plaza, encouraging attendees to dress in white and enjoy versions of songs from the 80s and 90s; the first Trail Ciutat de Manacor, organized by the Club Xendenguets and ascending to the hermitage of Santa Lucía on Saturday, June 1; and the musical surprise ‘Come together’, referencing The Beatles, on June 1 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Plaça de sa Bassa.

The program will conclude with the Reconeixement de Mèrits of the Escola Municipal de Mallorquí on Thursday, June 6 at the Teatre de Manacor, recognizing the career of journalist Margalida Solivellas, and with the Dijous de Tapes, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Fira de Primavera (May 26)

The main day of these festivities is the Fira de Primavera, which will be held on Sunday, May 26, featuring various themes and activities throughout the day. Some of the new additions include the Espai Lúdic, in front of Carrer d’en Tià de sa Real, featuring the Tribufest tast from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM; a Land Art Workshop by Ennigulart from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM; and the Tast Silvestre by Llavors from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will also be a Road Safety Circuit in the CEPA Llevant/Espai Na Camel·la courtyard from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and an open day at the Espai nadó in collaboration with the Infancia 0-3 association, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

The artisan fair will be held on the paseo de Na Camel·la from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM; the automobile and machinery fair on Passeig del Ferrocarril and Avinguda del Parc from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM; the food fair on Carrer de l’Amargura and Plaça del Rector Rubí from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM; the sports fair on Avinguda de Baix des Cós from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM; and the Estocs al carrer in the commercial area of Manacor from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, where shops will display their stocks on the street as they do every year.

As part of the Manacor Balla program during the Fira de Primavera, various academies will offer dance performances for the public’s enjoyment.
