This year, the Fira de la Llampuga de Cala Rajada celebrates 20 years of celebrating this product. In 2023, the fair will take place on the weekend of 13th, 14th and 15th October. The 20th Llampuga and Fresh Fish Weekend will kick off on Friday with the traditional Tapas Night on the quayside. Local establishments will take part, celebrating the 13th Culinary Tapas Competition. The evening will be enlivened with music by the groups ElsFunKis and Chevy’s band.
On Saturday it will be the turn of the traditional paella made on the quayside and the Verbena Marinera. There will be performances by DJ Oscar Romero and Valnou. Tickets for the paella cost 7 euros and will be sold on the quay until stocks last. On Sunday, the XX Muestra de la Llampuga will be inaugurated. The opening hours of this popular Fira de la Llampuga of Cala Rajada will be from 12:00 to 16:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00. The end of the festival will take place at 22:00 with fireworks.
The mayoress of Capdepera, Mireia Ferrer, invites neighbours, as well as people from outside the municipality, to participate in the Fira de la Llampuga and the Fira del Peix Fresc de Cala Rajada. “This weekend makes us the nerve centre of Mallorca and we have to take advantage of it to promote our local commerce, all the gastronomic and leisure offer we have, and help as always to our primary sector, which is fishing. We look forward to seeing you all in Cala Rajada,” she said.
For her part, the councillor for Fairs and Festivals, Agripina Rocha, invites you to “enjoy the traditional gastronomic fair, which this year is now in its twentieth year. The peix fresc weekend is understood with the three days of activities and is a good opportunity to come and visit the quay, the port and get to know all the leisure and gastronomic offer that Cala Rajada has to offer”.
