The Fira del Fang 2023 in Marratxí will once again flood the streets of this town with mud on the 4th of March. The 38th edition of Mallorca’s great ceramics fair will be held under the title “Una retrospectiva a la Fira” (A retrospective of the Fira), which this year aims to showcase the history, impact and importance of the Fira del Fang in the transmission of the ceramics tradition.
Local and foreign ceramists will be at the Fira del Fang de Marratxí until Sunday the 12th of March, where they will be exhibiting a selection of their best pieces at hundreds of stands. Visitors will be able to contemplate and purchase everything from traditional objects to avant-garde items. The programme includes exhibitions, talks, local gastronomy and numerous activities aimed at all audiences.

Saturday 4th
10:30 h. Inauguration of the Fair (marquee).
12 h. Concert by Pep Suasi and the Electrodoméstics (Sant Marçal Square).
17 h. Family workshop (marquee)
17:30 h. Parade with the Demonios de Barro (Sant Marçal square)
Sunday 5th
10 h. Planting of the giants Bet and Marçal.
11:30 h. Show of music, costumes and boleros by the Es Raiguer group (marquee).
17:30 h. Popular dance with Terra Roja (Sant Marçal square).
Monday 6th
16:30 h. Workshop with students from the manual courses of the Pilar Sastre Municipal School of Ceramics (marquee).
Tuesday 7th
17:30 h. “La Bruna i el fang”. Storytelling and workshop by Isabel XXXXX (marquee).
Wednesday 8th
17:30 h. 8M family workshop, by Marga Juan (marquee).
Thursday 9th
16:30 h. Lathe demonstration by students from the Pilar Sastre Municipal School of Ceramics’ lathe improvement course (marquee).
18 h. Lecture on the history of siurell, with Amadeu Corbera, Laura de Luque and Carme Sánchez (marquee).
Friday 10th
Family workshop.
Saturday 11th
11 h. Laccao and AGAMA workshop (Church Square).
11:30 h. Popular dance with Engalba (marquee).
17 h. Meeting of bolero schools with Aires des Pla de Marratxí and Fiesta Pagesa de Mancor de la Vall (marquee).
20 h. Concert by the Marratxí Municipal Band. They will perform the winning works of the First Composition Competition for Music Band “Feria del Fang” (Sant Marçal Church).
Sunday 12th
11 a.m. Show of costumes and boleros with Aires des Pla de Marratxí and Asociación Folklórica Virgen de la Soledad de Malpartida (Cáceres).
