The Fira de la Taronja Sóller 2024 offers the island a gastronomic and cultural event to promote the citrus fruits of the Sóller valley with a programme full of activities in which the special menus of 23 restaurants with oranges as the main ingredient stand out.

The weekend of the 13th and 14th of April was the highlight of the fira, but from that day onwards there will be a succession of activities programmed for adults and children.

Thursday 18th April

  • From 19:00 to 21:00 at the Centre Capvespre of the Cooperativa de Sóller: 30th Anniversary of the CBPAE. Meeting between organic producers and consumers. To conclude, there will be a “Tasting of local organic products”.

Friday 19th April

  • 19:30 in the Sala Magna of Sóller Town Hall: Presentation of the European Smart Era Project, a pilot project in Sóller. Rural and tourist development project by Any Solution.

Saturday 20th April

  • 10:00 in the Plaça Constitució: Guided tour “The cultivation of oranges. 125 years of the Sóller Cooperative”, by Més Cultura. Meeting point: in front of Sóller Town Hall. We recommend suitable walking shoes. Limited places. Bookings at infomescultura@gmail.com or telephone 691 791 047.
  • From 10:00 to 15:00 in Port de Sóller: Museum of the Sea, free admission.
  • 11:30 Guided tour of the Museum of the Sea. No registration required.
  • 12:00 in Plaça Constitució: Showcooking with citrus fruits, by Alemany Restaurant (Hotel Cal Bisbe).
  • 13:00 by Mrs. Sebastiana Massanet Borràs (Godmother of the Fair): Counting of oranges in the “How many oranges do I have? Proclamation of the winners and finalists of the Counter Competition. Proclamation of winners and finalists of the Canonetes Competition and Grand Auction of the winning oranges (See competition rules at the Sant Bartomeu Agricultural Cooperative and on social networks: Instagram: @sollerturismeipromocio and Facebook: @turismesoller).

Saturday 27 April in Fornalutx

  • 11:00 Guided tour “Las Fuentes de Fornalutx”, led by Miquel Gual. Meeting point: Pl. Espanya in Fornalutx, near the fountain. Suitable walking shoes recommended. Limited places. Price: 5€.
  • Throughout the afternoon: Popular voting for the Drawing Competition (organised by: Fornalutx Municipal Library). Entertainment by the Xeremiers de Fornalutx.
  • 17:30 Prize-giving ceremony for the Children’s Drawing Competition.
  • 18:00 Competition of orange or citrus fruit cakes.
  • 19:00 Presentation of prizes and Golden Orange awards with music by the Xeremiers de Fornalutx. Golden Orange Award, to Antoni Pinya i Florit.
