This weekend the Balearic Islands removes the requirement for the COVID certificate, which is why the Government distributes nearly 40,000 stickers among employers to invite everyone to go to shops, restaurants, transport, cultural spaces with increasingly flexible measures “thank you to your effort”.

Two years after the arrival of COVID-19 on the islands, and after more than 400 communication posters informing citizens about the measures that were established at all times to guarantee health security, the Executive centralizes everything in a QR that redirects to current recommendations.

To do this, stickers will be sent to 14,000 retail stores, 8,000 bars, 5,800 restaurants, 370 cultural spaces such as theaters and museums and nearly 3,000 tourist establishments, among other places on the islands, encouraging them to enter and enjoy them, always respecting the measures in force to guarantee that they are safe spaces. In addition, they will be placed in 300 buses and trains and in more than 400 educational centers.

Given the need to avoid outdated signage and put a single place where you can consult “how to protect yourself from the pandemic”, the Executive takes the opportunity to send a message to stimulate consumption and to thank the owners of these establishments for the effort of so many months during which they have protected thousands of lives and have revived the economy.
