The Balearic Symphony Orchestra will offer several solidarity concerts during the month of March. The #OSIBSOLIDÀRIA program includes seven free online concerts that aim to give voice and visibility to associations and NGOs that carry out solidarity work.
The concerts will be broadcast during the first three weekends of March. All will start at 8:00 p.m. on March 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 19 and 20. And they can be seen on the Symphony’s YouTube platform. Before each concert, a representative of each NGO will be interviewed and a video will be broadcast to give visibility to their daily work. String, woodwind and metal groups this weekend will perform works by JS Bach, WA Mozart, F. Schubert, G. Onslow, J. Ibert, A. Mairata, A. Piazzolla and G. Puccini among others.
The NGOs or associations that will be promoted in these Symphony concerts are Aspanob, Estrella de Levante, Sonrisa Médica, SOS Mamás, Comedor Autumn, Mallorca Sense Fam and Zaqueo.
The Symphony continues with the lines of action framed within the social program, convinced of the possibilities that music offers in the development of society, through social, communicative, relational skills and through artistic training activities, emotional education and cultural diffusion.
The Symphony Orchestra aims to be an example of artistic practice, driving away the elitist idea of access to the arts and culture.
