The Government’s “Bons Illes Illes Balears” commercial vouchers campaign, which includes more than a thousand shops, begins this Tuesday

From Tuesday 21 March until 15 April, the Government’s commercial vouchers can be redeemed. Under the name “Quins Bons més Bons”, half a million euros will be put into circulation with the aim of boosting and revitalising the small and medium-sized commerce sector.

Genoveva Bebé is one of the establishments participating in the Government’s “Bons Illes Balears” campaign.

A total of 1,010 shops on the Balearic Islands have applied to join the Government’s commercial voucher campaign for this year 2023. This surpasses the previous campaign, when 812 businesses joined, and the 2021 campaign, when 512 businesses joined. By islands, a total of 830 businesses on Mallorca, 115 on Menorca, 54 on Ibiza and 8 on Formentera have applied to join.

The participating municipalities are: Alaró, Alcúdia, Algaida, Andratx, Artà, Binissalem, Bunyola, Calvià, Campos, Capdepera, Esporles, Felanitx, Inca, Lloseta, Llucmajor, Manacor, Maria de la Salut, Marratxí, Muro, Palma, Sa Pobla, Pollença, Porreres, Puigpunyent, Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, Santa Margalida, Santa Maria del Camí, Santanyí, Sineu, Sóller, Son Servera and Valldemossa, in the case of Mallorca.

In Menorca, Alaior, Ciutadella, Ferreries, Maó, Mercadal and Sant Lluís, in Menorca; in Ibiza, Sant Antoni de Portmany, Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Santa Eulària des Riu and Formentera, in the case of the Pitiusas.

After Palma, with 359 participating businesses, the municipality with the most registered businesses is Manacor, with 120, followed by Inca, with 101, and Ciutadella, with 59. Also noteworthy are the figures for other municipalities such as Santanyí, with 36 registered businesses; Eivissa with 26, and Maó with 29.

How and where to buy the vouchers

The operation will be the same as in previous campaigns:

  • each citizen over 16 years of age residing in the Balearic Islands will receive up to four 15-euro vouchers that can be exchanged in establishments participating in the campaign for purchases of more than 30 euros, up to a maximum of 60 euros discount per person.
  • The vouchers can be accumulated in a single purchase or used in different purchases, in several or in a single shop, and must be requested directly in the shops (they are not applicable to online purchases).
