This weekend the Fira de Muntanya de Bunyola 2022 will be held. In this third edition, the work and merits of women olive gatherers will be highlighted. In Bunyola there have historically been women who have worked in the forests and olive groves. For this reason, in 2022 their figure will be the guiding thread of the activities of the Fira de Muntanya.
The fair, heir to the Santa Catalina Fair, will feature family activities for the little ones, in addition to the traditional fair with stalls that will fill the town on Sunday 27th November. Activities that were cancelled during the pandemic will also be brought back: the music of Santa CataRock, the tapas night and the focateres.
Fira de Muntanya de Bunyola programme
On Friday at 19:30 the Santa Catarock returns at 19:30 in the Pati de l’Escola. On Saturday there are also several activities scheduled, which will serve as a prelude to Sunday, the big day of the Fira de Muntanya de Bunyola 2022 with the following events:
- 9:00: Opening of the stalls that make up the fira.
- 10:00, 11:30 and 13:00: Olive oil tasting at the municipal market. Registration at the Town Hall.
- 10:00: Escape Room in the Casal de joves, from 10 years old.
- 10:30: Reception of the authorities in the Town Hall.
- 11:00: Cercavila. Bunyola brass band and “Tardor” by Circ Stromboli.
- 11:15: Inauguration of the exhibition “Gràcies collidores” in sa Plaça.
- 11:30: Circ en Família workshop, with the Des-Equilibrats company, in the Parc del Garrigó.
- 11:30: Concert by the Polyphonic Choir in the parish church of Sant Mateu.
- 12:00: Concert by the Minuet Choir, in the parish church of Sant Mateu.
- 12:30: Rebombori Batucada in sa Plaça.
- 17:00: Castellers de Mallorca in sa Plaça.
- 18:00: Closing of the fair stalls.
- 20:00: Theatre “Joana E” by Galiana Teatre in the municipal theatre. Free admission.
- 22:30: Fireworks display.
