Mallorca tops the ranking of the most popular Spanish destinations for travel in September and October. This is according to data from the Rumbo travel portal, which shows that almost half of the bookings made in the second and third week of August through the platform correspond to trips that will take place in October and September. Mallorca is the most popular destination, followed by four other islands: Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Menorca.

According to Rumbo’s data, travelling in September and October is an upward trend, mainly among couples. They account for 60% of the total of these bookings, with an average investment of 1,010 euros for 5-day trips. Of these, 46% choose 4 or 5 star hotels.

The tourist forecasts for Mallorca in September continue to rise, and the island expects to experience one of the best Septembers in its history in terms of tourism data.
