Teatre de Barra 2026 in Palma returns with five short plays performed in bars and restaurants in the Blanquerna and 31 de Desembre areas. The programme begins on Thursday 17 September and will run for six consecutive Thursdays, with the 1980s providing the theme for this new edition.
Performances will take place on Thursdays 17 and 24 September and 1, 8, 15 and 22 October. Each play will be performed at a different venue, with four performances every Thursday: 19:30, 20:10, 20:50 and 21:30. Tickets cost €6.

This second edition of 2026 is entitled Nits de Barra. Els 80 (Bar Nights. The 80s) and is organised by Orbita Editorial, with the support of Palma City Council. The format allows audiences to plan their own route and attend several performances in a single evening.
Five Teatre de Barra plays at five venues
The programme features five short productions, each linked to a different venue:
- Berlin ’89, at Ca Na Mercy (carrer de Ramon Muntaner, 46). Written by Alfonso Morillas and directed by Xavi Núñez, starring Laura Andújar and Héctor Seoane.
- Sa Gàbia enganadora (The Deceptive Cage), at S’Amagatall (carrer d’Andreu Feliu, 16). Written and directed by Bernat Molina, starring Joan Manel Vadell and Emili Gené.
- No controles (Don’t Control Me), at Bar Mavi (carrer del 31 de Desembre, 29). Written and directed by Pablo Valera, starring Lina Mira and Pau Pascual.
- Jingles, at Hotel Ars Magna (carrer de Blanquerna, 12). Written and directed by David Mataró, starring Marina Nicolau and Joan Vila.
- Wall & Cass, at Udon (carrer de Blanquerna, 3). Written and directed by Marga Arrom, starring Miquel Àngel Torrens and Carme Serna.
Teatre de Barra 2026 dates and times
The Teatre de Barra plays will be performed over six consecutive Thursdays:
- 17 September
- 24 September
- 1 October
- 8 October
- 15 October
- 22 October
Every Thursday there will be four opportunities to see each of the five plays, always at the same times:
- 19:30
- 20:10
- 20:50
- 21:30
This system makes it possible to combine several performances in a single evening. Theatre in Palma’s bars thus retains its defining feature: short performances inside bars and restaurants rather than conventional theatres.

Tickets cost €6 per play. For the first evening, on 17 September, tickets are on sale at Bar Mavi.

Teatre de Barra 2026 final in Palma on 24 October
After six Thursdays of performances, the grand final will take place on Saturday 24 October at 20:00, at the Teatre Municipal Maruja Alfaro Mar i Terra.
The event will decide the winners of this edition’s Teatre de Barra plays. The gastronomic element will also receive its own recognition: for the third year, an award will be presented for the best tapa created by the participating venues.
