Waiting times for the ITV vehicle inspection in Mallorca currently range from three to ten days at most testing stations, compared with the more than five months recorded in July 2023. The main exception is Manacor, where waiting times range from ten to fifteen days.

The Consell de Mallorca plans to make 183,550 appointments available to drivers between September and December, a figure that could exceed 200,000 depending on demand. Between 40,000 and 50,000 inspections are expected to be carried out each month for the remainder of the year.
Since January, 350,898 vehicle inspections have been carried out in Mallorca. The island authority estimates that 2026 could end with around 534,000 inspections, a similar figure to last year.
A new station to reduce ITV waiting times in Manacor
The situation in Manacor remains different from the rest of the island, with waits of between ten and fifteen days. To ease the workload at this station, the Consell plans to open a new ITV testing station in Campos before the end of 2026.
The new facility will have capacity to handle around 5,000 vehicles per month. As well as easing pressure on Manacor, it will bring the service closer to residents of Campos and nearby municipalities such as Llucmajor, Felanitx, ses Salines, Santanyí and Porreres.
The overall reduction in waiting times follows several measures introduced in recent years. The new concession increased annual capacity by 35%, from 480,000 to 650,000 inspections, and added 55 employees.
The service was also extended to Saturdays with volunteer staff, allowing up to 4,000 additional inspections per month.
Nearly 200,000 appointments by the end of the year
The opening of the Son Bugadelles station in Calvià has added capacity for a further 9,000 inspections per month. This has been complemented by a campaign during 2026 to bring ITV inspections to more than 40 locations across Mallorca, with 10,000 appointments for motorcycles and 1,000 for agricultural vehicles.
Following the drop in activity in July and August due to summer opening hours and staff holidays, the number of inspections will increase again from September. The Consell’s forecasts are:
- September: 46,292 inspections
- October: 51,497
- November: 46,442
- December: 39,341
In total, 183,550 inspections are planned, although the number of available appointments could be increased to more than 200,000 if there is sufficient demand.
