Winners of the 2026 Oscars: full list of award winners

The winners of the 2026 Oscars have now been announced, with One Battle after Another, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, emerging as the big winner of the night after taking home six statuettes at the 98th edition of the Academy Awards, held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The film won some of the night’s biggest awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson, as well as Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Film Editing and Best Casting. It also received the award for Best Supporting Actor for Sean Penn, who now adds a third Academy Award to his career.

Another of the night’s standout productions was Sinners, the thriller directed by Ryan Coogler, which won four awards: Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography and Best Original Score.

In the leading female acting categories, Jessie Buckley won the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in Hamnet, while Amy Madigan took the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Weapons.

Among the winners at the 2026 Oscars, Frankenstein also stood out. Directed by Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, it won three awards in technical categories: Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling and Best Production Design.

In the Best International Feature Film category, the award went to the Norwegian production Sentimental Value, directed by Joachim Trier. Among the nominees was the Spanish film Sirāt, by director Oliver Laxe.
