The Teatre de Barra 2026 returns to Palma with a new edition that reaffirms its unique character: short-format performances, non-conventional venues and a critical outlook — often ironic — which this year focuses on the island’s social and tourism-related reality. Considered one of the city’s most original cultural initiatives, the cycle invites audiences to experience theatre up close, bar by bar, from 29 January to 5 March.

In its 28th edition, the festival once again takes over the area of Blanquerna, where different bars and venues are transformed, for a few hours, into intimate theatrical spaces. This year’s chosen motto, “Souvenirs of theatre, bar tourism”, sets the tone for a programme that blends comedy, satire and contemporary tragicomedy.
