The Sant Antoni 2026 festivities in Mallorca are one of the island’s most deeply rooted, authentic and eagerly awaited celebrations. Every year, on 16 and 17 January, Mallorca – and especially the Part Forana – fills with fire, music, tradition and symbolism to honour Sant Antoni Abat, patron saint of animals and a central figure in Mallorcan popular culture. Towns such as Sa Pobla, Manacor, Artà and Muro, among many others, contribute their own nuances, characters and traditions, making Sant Antoni a diverse and rich celebration, united by the same spirit.

Dimonis Artà

Beyond the specific events in each municipality, Sant Antoni represents a moment of collective gathering in which popular culture is lived intensely in the streets. The foguerons (bonfires), the dimonis, improvised gloses, traditional music and rituals handed down from generation to generation turn these dates into a shared experience that blends celebration with the ancestral. Fire, the central element, symbolises purification, light and the struggle between good and evil, a duality that is very present in the iconography and narrative of the festival.
