Sant Antoni 2025 is celebrated in Muro from 10 to 19 January

The festivities of Sant Antoni 2025 in Muro will take place from 10 to 19 January, offering a wide range of cultural and traditional activities that combine religious devotion with popular merriment. This celebration, regarded as one of the most iconic festivals in Mallorca, honours Sant Antoni Abat, the patron saint of animals, with a programme featuring foguerons, parades, blessings, music, and the spectacular correfocs led by the dimonis.

The Thursday, 16 January will mark the start of the Revetla de Sant Antoni, a magical night when the streets of Muro come alive with bonfires and the dance of fire. From 19:45 h, the dimonis and Sant Antoni will parade through the town centre, accompanied by the Unió Artística Murera band. The evening will continue with the correfoc and the traditional torrades. Attendees can enjoy live music with bands such as Revetla d’Algebelí and Sedaç, culminating in the Festa Jove at Plaça Sant Martí featuring Gas Butano, Lluis Perelló DJ, and DJ Xisqueta.

On Friday, 17 January, the main day of the festival, a solemn mass in honour of Sant Antoni Abat will be held at the Església Parroquial de Sant Joan Baptista. Later, pets and livestock will take centre stage at the Beneïdes, a blessing ceremony that brings together residents and visitors in a deeply symbolic event. The celebration will conclude on 19 January with the Fogueró de Sant Sebastià, featuring a torrada and a glosada, preserving Mallorca’s rich oral tradition.
