The Port & Festa open day will open the Port of Palma to the public this Saturday 30 September to offer numerous free activities. This is a family event with live music, guided tours and fun for those attending. A large part of the Port & Festa programme kicks off at 11:00 am, with proposals such as guided tours of the Contramuelle-Mollet dry dock. This is the oldest shipyard in the port and one of the most competitive in the 21st century. You will also be able to visit the Commercial Docks dry dock, where the most spectacular superyachts in the world are repaired and maintained. As well as the Ses Voltes headquarters of the Museu Mar\u00edtim de Mallorca.<\/p>\n

Activities for children in the Port of Palma<\/h2>\n

Many of the Port & Festa activities are designed for a family audience and for the youngest members of the family. Ports de Balears will be offering an introductory course in canoeing in the Port of Palma this day, with a talk and a trip around the Ca’n Barbar\u00e0 dock, run by the Club de Mar sports area, which will also be giving a workshop on sailor’s knots. The Palma Aquarium Foundation has organised a rescue activity, games and knowledge about the oceans for children aged 6 and over. Storytelling, music, dance, environmental workshops, road safety education and falconry exhibitions are other of the more than 30 events scheduled for this Saturday in the Port of Palma. Some of them require prior registration.<\/p>\n

End of Port & Festa musical<\/h2>\n

For the end of the party, Radio Mallorca-Cadena SER will offer an evening with the hits of today, yesterday and always on the Golondrinas stage. It will start at 17:00 with a concert by Gin Tonics Band. Followed by DJ Jes\u00fas G\u00f3mez (18:00), Tapo & Raya (19:00) and DJ Dani Buscos (20:00). In parallel, from 17:30 until midnight, WIPE OUT – Mallorca Surf Film Festival 2023<\/strong><\/a> will take place, with film, music and culture, as well as a concert by Los Ripples, round tables, screenings related to surfing, sustainability and the preservation of the marine environment.<\/p>\n
