The third edition of the audiovisual industry meeting, Fiction Mallorca Pitch 2023, will be held between the 16th and 18th of October in Calvi\u00e0. This event begins its activities a month before with a day of screenings of five short films. The programme will take place at the Sa Societat Theatre in Calvi\u00e0 and the Vibra Beverly Playa Hotel on the 16th, 17th and 18th of October<\/p>\n

Fiction Mallorca Pitch 2023<\/a> returns in October with a third edition whose screenings will be brought forward to September. The first day of these screenings will be on Tuesday 19 September at 9.30 p.m. at the Hotel Vibra Beverly Playa de Paguera, in Calvi\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Paris 70′, ‘La Nau’, ‘Historias Encontradas’, ‘Ellas’ and ‘9 Pasos’ – nominated for a Goya in 2019 – are the titles that will be screened on this first day. A second day will be added on 16 October. It should be noted that of the five titles, three of them are Balearic productions and creations: ‘La Nau’ (Mallorca), ‘Historias Encontradas’ (Mallorca) and ‘Ellas’ (Ibiza).<\/p>\n

Fiction Mallorca Pitch 2023: towards the professionalisation of the audiovisual industry<\/h2>\n

Fiction Mallorca Pitch is the first event in the Balearic film and audiovisual industry to organise screenings of short films certified and qualified by the Instituto de la Cinematograf\u00eda y de las Artes Audiovisuales (ICAA) or counterpart institutions such as the Institut Catal\u00e0 de les Empreses Culturals (ICEC). In addition, the organisers will pay an exhibition fee for each of the works screened.<\/p>\n

A new feature of this third edition will be a reverse box office test on the two days of short film screenings, although these are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n

Fiction Mallorca Pitch 2023 is an event sponsored by the Calvi\u00e0 Town Council, the Consell de Mallorca and the Mallorca Turisme-Mallorca Film Commission Foundation. Between the 2021 and 2022 editions, it has managed to promote more than 22 projects and bring together more than 200 attendees.<\/p>\n
