Photo: Palma City Council.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>According to the City Council in a press release, the main objective of these machines is to facilitate the consultation of the balance of the citizen card and recharge it, both with cash and credit card.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, unlike the old machines, the current ones incorporate a double card dispenser. This allows people who do not have a citizen card to purchase both single tickets and prepaid transport tickets, such as the 10-trip voucher or airport tickets, depending on the configuration of each machine. The machines installed at the airport also allow the purchase of round-trip cards, which can be used without expiration.<\/p>\n<h2>EMT Palma digitalization process<\/h2>\n<p>On the other hand, the new machines incorporate a series of improvements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Touch screens and color and large-format 23-inch screens that facilitate the entire sales process.<\/li>\n<li>State-of-the-art components that make the management process more reliable and agile.<\/li>\n<li>More autonomy due to the fact of being property of EMT Palma and better maintenance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The rest of the devices, up to the planned total of 25, will be installed in the coming months.<\/p>\n<p>This project receives funding from the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A total of 12 machines have already been installed out <a href=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/en\/emt-palma-installs-six-new-card-recharging-and-ticket-vending-machines-at-bus-stops\/\"> [&#8230;]<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":38241,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1513],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-65410","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-society"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 -
