Hotel establishments in the Balearic Islands have reached 10,566,115 overnight stays in July 2023, according to data released Wednesday by the National Statistics Institute (INE). Of these, 983,814 belong to residents in Spain and 9,582,302 to foreigners<\/p>\n

Of the total number of overnight stays, more than 10 and a half million, the number of travelers staying in hotels on the islands in July amounted to 1,947,381, of which 240,051 were residents in Spain and 1,707,329, foreigners, as announced today by the National Statistics Institute (INE).<\/p>\n

It also highlights that the Balearic Islands had the highest occupancy rate by bedplaces during the month of July, 87.5%, followed by the Canary Islands, with 75.8%.<\/p>\n

Calvi\u00e0 is among the tourist points with more overnight stays, together with Barcelona and Madrid. On the other hand, Santa Margalida has the highest occupancy rate, 93.8%, and the highest weekend occupancy rate, 94.8%, according to INE data.<\/p>\n

Revenue from hotel overnight stays in July<\/h2>\n

The Hotel Price Index (HPI) in the Balearic Islands stood at 192.74, 6.73% higher than in July 2022. The average turnover per occupied room (ADR) in July was 163.2 euros, which represents an interannual increase of 7.33%.<\/p>\n

In reference to the average daily revenue per available room (RevPAR), which is conditioned by the occupancy registered in hotel establishments, it reached 145.71 euros in the islands, representing a 7.25% increase.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, the Balearic Islands is the main destination chosen by non-residents, with 34.5% of total overnight stays, 43.1 million. The following are Catalonia and the Canary Islands, with 20.9% and 18.4% of the total respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
